Iconic yellow stitching, sturdy designs and air-cushioned soles make Dr. Martens unmistakable and irreplaceable. Thanks to its adoption by subcultures such as punk and grunge, Dr. Martens became a global phenomenon symbolising defiance and authenticity. Now, whilst it has broader appeal, what was originally conceived in 1947 as a humble workboot, has been through many incarnations to arrive as a versatile range of statement pieces. And since the release of their vegan range in 2011, the brand offers the same bold style for those who prefer animal-free.

Read on for a guide to the latest range of vegan Docs.

The Vegan 1460's boots

Debuting in 1960, the 1460 was the first Dr. Martens boot ever created and set the stage for a legacy spanning decades. The mainstay of the subcultures, the 8-eye lace up classic boot is the rockstar of the footwear world. This style has transcended generations from 60's mods to 70's punks to 90's grunge icons, to be seen on the likes of Gwen Stefani and Yungblud today.
Crafted from Felix Rub Off, a sleek synthetic material with a subtle two-tone sheen, the vegan 1460 retains all the hallmarks that make Docs legendary. Grooved sides, bold yellow stitching, and the signature air-cushioned sole give this boot style with durability.

The Vegan Jadon boots

First introduced in 2013, the Jadon II boot brought a fresh energy to the design of the classic 1460 silhouette by amplifying its features with a towering platform sole. Designed to empower and make a statement, the Jadon was an instant hit as a symbol of stength. At 1.85 inches on the platform and 2 inches at the heel, Jadon's elevate your stature as well as your style.

The Vegan 2976 Chelsea boots

The 2976 Chelsea boot is a timeless slipon Victorian era design reimagined with the brand’s rebellious edge. Introduced in the 1970s to give a classic of the footwear world a modern twist. The elasticated gussets and Dr. Martens’ signature AirWair™ soles blend historical heritage with contemporary appeal.

The Chelsea Platform takes the classic to a new height.

The Vegan Sinclair Platform boots

Attitude in boot form. The Sinclair adds instant cool points to any outfit. Reimagined for vegans in the brand’s signature Oxford material—Dr Marten’s favoured leather alternative, with the instantly recognisable chunky Bex sole. Adjustable straps, DM’s iconic yellow stitching, and yellow-and-white heel loops cement Dr. Martens DNA to this more in your face design.

The Vegan 1461 Felix & Vegan Quad Mono shoes

A flatrafted with the Doc's signature flair in two bold variations. Choose the streamlined silhouette of the classic 1461 or monochromatic Quad Mono Platform for smart shoes with edge.

The Vegan Felix Rub Off Sandals & Vegan Voss Strap Sandals

Redifinging summer style with two stand out designs now made vegan. The Blaire is a gladiator sandal done the Dr Marten way, complete with a slight wedge, a padded collar, and bold details like grooved edges and visible stitching. The Voss pairs sleek, minimalist design with a slightly chunky platform.

Both crafted from the brand’s signature Oxford material, adjustable straps, the Goodyear welt constrocution, and 1.57" soles for a bit of height.
